ABS

ABS is niet gemakkelijk om te printen, je hebt hierbij een verwarmd printbed en een dichte cabine op temperatuur nodig. Het is zeer populair door de eigenschappen die het materiaal beschikt.

PLA

PLA is te printen op een lage temperatuur, is biologisch afbreekbaar en trekt niet krom of vervormt niet tijdens of na het printen. PLA is in heel veel verschillende soorten leverbaar, zelfs hout.

TPU

TPU geeft mogelijkheid om flexibele objecten te printen. Dit filament hecht goed aan andere printlagen, hierdoor worden mogelijkheden nog groter.

3D - printen is een markt die nog steeds opkomend is, dit komt door de mogelijkheden van 3D printen. Er zijn dingen mogelijk die niet zouden kunnen met traditioneel frezen of met welk andere bewerking dan ook. Door een TPU filament te printen in combinatie met een ABS filament zou je wieltjes (met rubberen eigenschappen) gelijk aan een frame kunnen printen
